Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 18, 2026

EmailVault is a personal email archival application. It accesses Google account data only after the user explicitly authorizes access through Google's OAuth process.

Data accessed

EmailVault may access Gmail data necessary to copy and maintain an archive of the authorized user's email, including messages, message metadata, folders or labels exposed through Gmail's mail-access interfaces, and attachments.

How data is used

The data is used solely for email backup and archival functionality requested by the authorized user. EmailVault does not use Google user data for advertising, profiling, marketing, or unrelated purposes.

Storage and protection

Archived email is stored on private storage controlled by the authorized user. This public website does not store or expose archived email. OAuth credentials and tokens are maintained separately from this public website and are used only to authenticate the archival application to Google.

Sharing

EmailVault does not sell Google user data or share it with third parties for advertising or marketing.

Retention and deletion

Archived data is retained under the control of the authorized user. The user can stop future access by revoking EmailVault's Google authorization and can delete archived copies from private storage under the user's control.

Google API Services User Data Policy

EmailVault's use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Changes

This policy may be updated if EmailVault's functionality or data practices change. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated effective date.
